Throughout my life, I have learned that one of the most important relationships that I need to cultivate outside of my primary relationships with my family and loved ones has been my relationship to the money I attract into my life. Yes, relationship with money. Yes, that I attract into my life.
Why? Because I am passionate about personal freedom and an abundance of money or the lack of it determines our quality of life, the choices we make with and for our families, the education that we can and cannot have, our options for better health and the list goes on. It is more often than not, about the money. And I believe there is a disconnect now, more than ever between money earned, money saved and money spent. Having an abundance of money gives you time freedom and you are restricted when you do not have it.
But I am here to say that I have learned to treat my money like I would treat my best friend because I’d like it to be there when I need it the most. And I treat it with respect and integrity. To me, this means being conscious of how I spend it, save it, donate it, use it for good or not. Do I use it to contribute to someone’s life? Do I use it to make a difference in this world? What legacies will I leave the next generation?
